SPOKANE HOMEOWNERS WHO HAVE GONE GREEN OPEN THEIR DOORS TO THE PUBLIC TO GIVE THE CURIOUS A FIRST HAND LOOK

Spokane, Wash.  --   From homes that get their hot water from solar panels to one with a plug out front for an electric car you’re invited to check out Spokane homes that are eco-friendly.

For a second year, the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild and the Washington State Department of Ecology are offering a rare opportunity to go inside some of Spokane’s most unique, beautiful and energy efficient homes. This year’s tour includes ten homes throughout Spokane. Participates get a map when they buy a ticket.

Among the homes on this tour, you’ll be able to check out three built from bales of straw and two historic south hill homes that have undergone major green remodels. Come and be inspired by innovative design, and homeowners and contractors who will share their personal experiences and answer questions. Kids under 12 are free and a carload is just $25. Don’t miss this extraordinary event.

Following the tour come to a FREE fun, family-friendly information fair at EcoDepot, 1326 E Sprague Ave follows from 2pm – 6pm with green vendors, demonstrations, food, drink and music.
