In conjunction with achieving the San Jose Green Vision strategy, the City of San Jose is partnering with the U.S. Department of Energy as a Solar America City, the American Solar Energy Society’s National Solar Tour, local solar companies, and San Jose residents to host San Jose's first-annual San Jose Solar Home Tour.
The San José Solar Home Tour will run from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, October 1, 2011. The purpose of the tour is to offer an opportunity to talk with people that have installed solar on their homes about their experiences. Please see below for more details.
As an added feature to the home tour, the San José Green Vision Clean Energy Showcase will also be available for free tours. The Showcase is an exciting hands-on demonstration of solar technologies to help educate, inform and enable the community to go solar and save money. Please see below for more details.
Please remember to bring sunscreen, water, and comfortable shoes. We strongly encourage carpooling to reduce carbon emissions.

The Showcase is an exciting hands-on demonstration of solar technologies to help educate, inform and enable the community to go solar and save money! Stop by to see some of the latest technology developments in the solar industry. The Showcase will be open from 9am to 3pm and with guided tours at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm. The San José Clean Energy Showcase is located directly across the street (North) from San José City Hall (200 E. Santa Clara Street between 4th and 5th streets)
